Canada Goose x Concepts' new MacMillan Parka
Completely reflective and genderless
November 24th, 2020
For the twelfth year, Canada Goose has collaborated with Boston's streewear brand, Concepts, to reinterpret one of its most iconic garments, the MacMillan Parka. The main feature of this new version of the parka is the reflective surface that, in addition to the classic practical reasons for visibility, also wants to be a creative inspiration for the wearer. As Niamh McManus, design director of Canada Goose, explains:
This reflective jacket is not only functional, but we are able to interact with the digital native generation and offer them the opportunity to interact with the same jacket, through photography and videography.
One of the most particular design features of the new MacMillan Parka is the holographic disc embroidered on the arm that, depending on light and angles, shows the logo of one or the other brand seamlessly – a reference to the synergy of the two brands. Other features of the parka include the two-way adjustable down-padded hood and fleece-lined outer pockets.
