The new Acne Studios store in the original bank of the "Stockholm Syndrome"
Right there, 27 years ago it was observed the first ever recorded case of the syndrome

Acne Studios has opened a new boutique in the Norrmalmstorg Square building in Stockholm, the same one that housed the bank Sveriges Kreditbanken where, in 1973, the first ever case of Stockholm Syndrome occurred – during which two robbers, Jan-Erik Olsson and Clark Olofsson, took four people hostage for 130 consecutive hours, at the end of which the hostages took the defense of the kidnappers and refused to cooperate with the police. To renovate the spaces, the brand turned to the Arquitectura-G studio and furniture designer Max Lamb, who created the five marble tables that dominate the store.
To celebrate the new store and its entire history, Acne Studios has also created a limited edition capsule collection that pays homage to the history of Stockholm Syndrome through reproductions of the real newspapers of the time and photos of the release of hostages. The capsule consists of t-shirts, scarves, hats, card brings and a tote bag.
