The new Undercover x Nike ISPA OverReact
“Chaos/Balance”
July 15th, 2020
The digital edition of Paris Fashion Week just ended had to do without big shows and celebrities, but it did not skimp on surprise collaborations – such as the new chapter of the partnership between Undercover and Nike that appeared during the digital presentation of the SS21 collection of Jun Takahashi's fashion house. The new sneaker will be called Undercover x Nike ISPA OverReact and, unlike previous collaborations between the two brands, will focus for the first time on a model of Nike ISPA, Nike's most advanced technology research division that recently unveiled the line-up of its summer releases.
The sneaker is not just a rebranding, but a structural change. While the original OverReact model also featured technological innovations on the lace and upper, Takahashi opted for a more classic aesthetic, keeping the sole unit almost unchanged, but equipping it with a traditional upper decorated with a rose embroidered over the Swoosh and the "Chaos/Balance" inscriptions on the tip of each shoe. The sneaker will be presented in four different colorways.
The new Undercover x Nike ISPA OverReact will be made available between the end of this year and the beginning of the next or at least, presumably, at the end of the summer. Neither brand provided further details on the release date.
