The new Burberry's TB Summer Monogram collection
Starring Kendall Jenner
July 3rd, 2020
Burberry has just unveiled the new TB Summer Monogram collection designed by the brand's creative director Riccardo Tisci with a campaign starring Kendall Jenner. For the creation of the video campaign, a digital CGI set was created inspired by the construction of skate parks and swimming pools in which a digitized avatar of the supermodel plays four different characters who wear both the men's and women's clothes of the collection.
The video is flanked by the photographic side of the campaign: a series of natural self-portraits, taken by Jenner herself at home, which form the physical basis for the project.
For the realization of the project, Riccardo Tisci involved a group of famous British creatives and traditional collaborators, first of all, Peter Saville, co-author of the Burberry monogram together with Tisci and artistic director of the campaign, together with photographer Nick Knight and stylist Katy England. The monogram itself, then, the true protagonist of the campaign and repeated on all the items of the collection reinterpreted in a maximalist sense and with a series of new colourways including dark beige, blue, graphite and cobalt blue with orange accents.
To accompany the launch of the collection, Burberry has curated a playlist on Spotify and will soon launch a multiplayer game called B Surf.
The new Burberry's TB Summer Monogram collection will be available at globally selected Burberry boutiques and online on the brand's official website from July 1. The collection will also be available for purchase through a global partnership with Farfetch that will be launched on July 8.
