HH-118389225-203 "ARCHIVE"
June 27th, 2020
Helly Hansen has unveiled the lookbook of the HH-118389225-203 ARCHIVE, the third capsule collection inspired by its historical archive, part of the SS21 collection. Taking hints from its vast tradition in the creation of professional-level nautical equipment, the capsule collection goes over the brand's 140 years: each item is inspired by historical product lines, specific details or fundamental moments in the history of the brand. Thanks to the innovative technologies introduced in each product, these re-workings embrace both contemporary aesthetics and the use of materials and technical devices typical of sailing clothing, such as 3 layer Shell technology and ultrasonic taped seams.
The gem of the collection is the revival of the vest, a symbol of Helly Hansen, revisited in an aesthetic key in several versions but made with very precise technical materials. Among the other noteworthy items, there is certainly the HH OCEAN COAT, a jacket which features technical 3l performance shell fabrication, concealed spray-hood and a raised cowl collar in line with the brand’s other sailing apparel to ensure maximum face protection while retaining a greater field of vision on the seas; but also the HH SEAWAY JACKET jacket, featuring 2l technical fabrication and details such as 3M reflective taping across the garment for heightened visibility, and HH OCEAN VEST, which uses prominent visual elements of the SAIL SAFE INFLATABLE RACE vest and is packable into the garment’s external zipper Lastly. Finally, the collection is not lacking whistles and interchangeable multipurpose bags.
Founded in Norway in 1877, Helly Hansen continues to develop professional-level clothing and is a world leader in the production of technical sailing clothes and performing ski clothing. The Helly Hansen HH-118389225-203 capsule collection will be available in a limited edition and in selected stores starting from February 2021.
