The new Octopus Brand x South Park collection
The capsule is just the beginning of a wider collaboration that will continue in the coming months
June 25th, 2020
Octopus Brand's new project is a tribute to the most irreverent and politically incorrect animated series ever: South Park. The sitcom created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker in 1997 for Comedy Central, with its sharp, derogating and intelligent satire, capable of lay bare like no other merits and flaws of American society, has inspired a capsule collection that is actually just the teaser of a wider collaboration between the Milanese brand and the animated series that we will see in full in the next FW20 collection.
The capsule consists of three limited edition garments: a hoodie and a t-shirt, both produced in two hundred pieces, and a swimsuit, of which only a hundred iterations will be available. Towelie, one of South Park's most iconic characters, is featured on all three items. Towelie is an animated towel that the show's characters, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, encounter in season five and who becomes the protagonist of one of the most surreal and entertaining episodes of the entire series - including a memorable sequence in which the melody of Funky Town is played on an intercom.
The Towelie capsule collection by Octopus Brand x South Park is already available in the IUTER Store in Milan and, as of today, also online on the brand's official website.
