Fendi has just announced its plans for the post-lockdown through a concert during which the CEO of the brand, Serge Brunschwig, announced that Fendi's next co-ed show for the SS21 collection will be held on September 22 in the Palazzo della Civilità Italiana in Rome before the Milan show on September 28. In addition, Brunschwig announced that Fendi will follow a new calendar for its retail, closer to the seasons of the year: the current spring collection will remain in stores until August, pre-fall will be available from September and the FW21 collection will arrive in boutiques in mid-October where it will remain until February, replacing the pre-collection Resort. In addition, the California Skyes collaborative capsule created together with Joshua Vides will be launched on June 25.
The full video of the concert, which lasts twelve minutes, will instead be available on Fendi's social media starting tomorrow, June 20, on the occasion of the summer solstice, under the title Fendi Renaissance Anima Mundi. The violinists of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, a school of music that, with its 435 years of life, is one of the oldest conservators in the world, performed Antonio Vivaldi's Estate. The first movement of the composition was played at dawn on the entrance steps of the Palace, the second in its arcades and the third on the roof, at sunset. The first violinist Anna Tifu, who will perform the music on a Stradivari violin from 1716, will wear three different dresses from the brand's couture archive: two from the 2018-19 Couture season and one from the 2019-20 season.
The digital performance Fendi Renaissance Anima Mundi will be visible starting tomorrow on Fendi's official website and on the brand's social channels.
