Tommy Hilfiger acts to help people and communities affected by the coronavirus. The U.S. brand has announced the donation of more than 10,000 white t-shirts to support all healthcare professionals in Europe and the U.S. involved in the care of COVID-19 patients. The designer commented the initiative with these words:
As we're all facing these extraordinary circumstances, standing together is the strongest way forward. We’re committed to give back and provide help where it's needed the most. Together we will overcome every challenge and continue to do our best to serve the community. Together we will get through the challenges and keep serving our communities as best we can. We are thankful for the dedication of healthcare professionals all over the world.
In addition, the designer has called his community to create a limited edition capsule collection of white T-shirts and sweatshirts. Fans have selected their favourite models on Instagram @TommyHilfiger and @TommyJeans profiles, choosing from different types of graphics, logos and flags and the best proposals will be available soon on the company's official website. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the global challenge against COVID-19.
These are not the first projects of the company to fight the pandemic, in fact, through the PVH Foundation, the brand had donated 2 million dollars to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and other charities, along with millions of protective lab coats and masks.
