Vetements has opened a new uncensored account on Instagram

In the wake of the brands that best managed their communication on Instagram during the pandemic, Vetements has opened a new "uncensored" Instagram account. Its nickname leaves no doubts: VETEMENTS UNCENSORED.

It's still not clear what kind of contents or utility this profile could have in the strategy of Vetements, if not that it's a private account and what we can read on its bio: “What you are about to witness will disturb you. Even shock you. There is a dark side of humanity the censors won't let you see… but we will”. The bio is then followed by a +18 emoji, indicating that the page is going to post sensitive contents. 

The launch of this profile was announced with two posts on the official Instagram of the brand, founded in 2014 by fashion designer Demna Gvasalia. The first post sponsors the "new opening" with a caption specifying "BY REQUEST ONLY"; the second post features some black and pink Vetements-branded condoms and a caption that gives you the correct instructions to sign up to the page: "WE WILL ACCEPT YOUR REQUESTS SOON - AFTER THAT THE ACCESS TO @vetements_uncensored WILL BE CLOSED AND NO NEW REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR INDEFINITE PERIOD OF TIME", adding to "Tag @vetements_uncensored on your posts to get featured. YOU MUST REQUEST NOW IF YOU’RE WILLING TO ENTER." 

Once you've lost this occasion, you'll never be able to be a part of the account ever again. The fact that they're requesting a tag to be admitted could mean that the account is going to post fan-based contents.
