Majotech NtMajocchi has committed to produce 300,000 masks a day
The Italian manufacturer historic collaborator of Stone Island and Supreme will produce masks for hospitals
March 25th, 2020
To help in the health crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, Majotech NtMajocchi, the historic Italian manufacturer of technical fabrics and supplier of brands such as Supreme and Stone Island, will produce surgical masks and protective suits jointly with Cieffe Milano for the Italian medical staff. The medical material will be produced with fabrics manufactured by Majotech NtMajocchi while Cieffe will take care of their assembly. In the statement issued by the two companies, it's estimated that the production volume is 300,000 masks per day.
Ever since the Coronavirus crisis hit Lombardy, masks and protective suits for medical personnel fighting on the frontline of the emergency have quickly run out and become untraceable for both hospitals and the public. The Majotech NtMajocchi and Cieffe's project is part of a larger initiative that will see a consortium of Italian companies produce up to two million a day, along with those that other countries affected by the virus, primarily China, are sending to Italy these days.
