How to turn a sport jacket into a pillow
Just a spoonful of creativity helps the house become more glam

The Adidas classic sport jacket is a must-have since the 90s. Everyone has one Adidas sweater hidden in their closet (or in that of their parents): it is unisex, it can be adapted to any type of situation and style and satisfy every generation. There are several models and colors; you can shop the most innovative and "trendy" ones in almost any sports shop, whilst second-hand shops offer a huge amount of different vintage models. The one I found (on the bottom of a closet) was a classic version in blue, without hood, with orange stripes, the iconic clover on the chest and two pockets on the front. It was visibly compromised, with burn marks everywhere, but I could not throw it away. So I decided to turn it into something new, investing just 40 minutes of my time.
The soft and not excessively heavy fabric is perfect to be used and transformed into a pillow cover. You'll need a home sewing machine to hold the parts together, but the trick is to break down the sweater, trying to get as much of the continuous fabric as possible. Once you have all the cut parts, you can easily play and fit them together, and choose the combination that will convince you the most. To save time, I used the zip of the sweater to create the opening of the cover itself, in which the pillow will be inserted. The side pockets of the garment are transformed into a little storage compartments. It's an investment of style that is really worthwhile, because not only we have recycled a sweater, but we have also gave to our sofa a more streetstyle look.
