White Mountaineering unveils its collaboration with Colmar A.G.E.
The urban world meets the technical outdoor
January 20th, 2020
Colmar goes on experimenting with Age-Advanced garment exploration, the project born in 2018 where the most interesting contemporary talents rework the brand's heritage and DNA. Following three collections in partnership with New York designer Shayne Oliver, it is White Mountaineering's turn to play with the codes of the Italian company and adapt them to its own vision of style. Previewed during Paris Fashion Week, at the suggestive location Refectoirevdes Cordeliers, the capsule mixes technology and innovation with nature inspirations.
"The layering of garments and shapes is my style. In this collection for next winter I was inspired by prints from leaves on the ground to clouds in the sky!"
Said White Mountaineering's designer, Yosuke Aizawa, about the new creations. The six garments shown on the catwalk are a small hint of a 30 piece collection designed to combine urban mood and high-performance products. The love for mountains and snowboarding of the talented Japanese who has cut his teeth working six years for Rei Kawakubo turns into a series of essential parkas, outstanding for the research of fabrics and attention to detail taken from the world of hunting and climbing: from multi-purpose pockets to prints of clouds and leaves. The colors? Black, brown and shades of grey prevail, with hints of pink, red and light blue.
