The sixth and final collection of the Alexander Wang & adidas Originals collab
An entire line designed for Club Leisure that gives sneakers, garments and accessories a futuristic twist
December 16th, 2019
The long and successful collaboration between Alexander Wang & adidas Originals has come to an end. For the sixth and final season, the two partners explored the concept of Club Leisure, merging inspirations from the underground clubbing scene with classic leisurewear. The result is a collection with a futuristic look, in which aerodynamic shapes and technical materials play an essential role. Among the most interesting pieces, which will become instant must-have, there are AW Tee and AW Pant, which combine shiny spandex and blurry graphics, but also the Silver Bra and Silver Short models, items featuring cuts inspired by retro cycling made with a composition of stretch materials and covered in silver.
The sneakers also have the same almost space-like mood. The Turnout Trainer features a sock line, braided lacing and fastening on the back of the shoe, synthetic upper; while the Puff Trainer and Bball Soccer models are available in nylon ripstop, mesh and suede effect and have a more classic line, but still have chunky soles.
The AW Puff Trainer collection is completed by a down jacket with bold printed graphics, a fanny pack and the AW Duffl and 2T Duffl sports bags.
The Season 6 campaign was designed in 3D digital renderings to emphasize the techno-fantasy mood of Wang's creations, launched during an innovative Hackathon event in New York City on December 10.
The adidas Originals x Alexander Wang collection will be available from December 14 at the flagship stores and on the websites of both brands, as well as at selected retailers.
