Carhartt WIP FW19 collection
Reworked classics inspired by the sportswear and military aesthetic
August 6th, 2019
Carhartt WIP is back, ready to present one of its most multifaceted collections.
Its proposal for the FW19 season includes some of its most iconic pieces, reworked with details inspired by sportswear and military moods and decorated with classic motifs such as checkered, animalier, pied-de-poule and camouflage print. So the Michigan Chore Coat and the Detroit jacket are made of a new material, Dearborn Canvas, which gives cotton a coated and aged effect; the Dexter jacket and the Prentice fleece pullover feature bold colours and technical fabrics inspired by mountaineering jackets. While divers and frogmen are the starting point for the waterproof technical fabrics of the new down jackets, the references for the new Norvell Pant in dogtooth wool are après-ski, Paninari and the football casuals.
Despite the mix of nostalgic inspirations filtered through a modern lens, the Carhartt WIP style remains unique as does its timeless aesthetics that have its roots in workwear.
The FW19 collection is already available in stores, in selected retailers worldwide and online.
