The Calvin Klein 'I SPEAK MY TRUTH IN #MYCALVINS' campaign

The new Calvin Klein campaign is a hymn to authenticity and truth. It is in fact entitled I Speak My Truth in #MyCalvins the latest project of the American brand, which has decided to include an eclectic cast of personalities as testimonials.

A few days ago the first images starring Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, Noah Centineo and Chika were revealed. Now the brand unveils the new chapter of the campaign, which this time sees the presence of Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Troye Sivan, A$AP Rocky, Kevin Abstract, Indya Moore e Yoo Ah-In, shot by Mario Sorrenti. Models, singer, artists, activists and actors express their most authentic self through the Calvin Klein pieces, a brand that has always focused on highlighting the truest part of ourselves.

In this exclusive interview, Troye Sivan talks about his experience on set and his relationship with Calvin Klein.

#1 You declared your truth in the latest #MYCALVINS campaign – what was the on-set experience like for you? Difficult? Nerve-wracking? Easy? Fun?

A mixture of all of the above. Vulnerability is never easy, but I’ve grown to really love the liberation on the other end of it.

#2 How does wearing Calvin Klein make you feel?

Sexy. I think back to the days where I was a pubescent closeted kid staring a second too long at the photos of the boys on the CK underwear boxes and I laugh at/enjoy feeling like a part of that now.

#3 How did you prepare yourself for the shoot?

I spent time planning with Jonas, who directed the video portion of the campaign. I really wanted to make something that felt like a tongue in cheek fantasy turns reality story.

#4 What is one thing your fans do not know about you?

I feel socially proficient but would much rather fade into the background of most social settings. I like listening.

#5 Describe your personal style.

It's always changing. I’d say the through line is respecting things that are classic - wayfarers, chucks, CK undies, a good pair of blue jeans - while also completely giving myself the room and right to experiment and play.
