A piece of news that we met with some enthusiasm last season was the great return of Prada’s more technical performance range Linea Rossa. A line steeped in a rich history of competition on the high seas of the America’s Cup Regatta races, which in the 2000’s captured the hearts of many Italian’s when the charismatic captain from Napoli, Francesco de Angelis' wave born triumphs were accentuated by a total Prada Linea Rossa look, that was years ahead of its time when looking at high fashions current infatuation with sports, street and performance wear.
Returning last year in the highest of form, Linea Rossa boasted some of the most
advanced fabric and textiles techniques developments around. Incorporating
nanotech fabrics that regulate body temperature, water-repellent microfiber
Goretex Pro, Primaloft padding, derived in part from a substance derived from graphite, and
3L ultra-light nylon. Announced today, the next step in the evolution of Prada Linea Rossa has been unveiled. Pushing the forward-looking perspective once again in
a meeting between sportswear and contemporary elegance, the new collection is characterized by garments designed according to avant-garde techniques, in innovative and futuristic materials. Available for both men and women, the men's line combines technical fabrics and sophisticated design with luxurious and highly performing garments for a contemporary attitude with a masculine charm. The women’s garments are a clean, pure and aerodynamic line, with the new Spring Summer 2019 collection finding its dimension in a hyper-functional minimalism.
