Heron Preston presents Nike Tailwind HP sunglasses
And declares his love for the US brand
November 27th, 2018
Great news for lovers of fashion collaborations: from November 29 will be available in the stores Nike Tailwind HP sunglasses made by the sportswear colossus with Heron Preston and previewed during the Paris fashion week SS19. Features? Lightweight rubber contoured eyewear frame, that provides clarity and ventilation. The real innovation, however, lies in a series of interchangeable glass lenses MAX Optics, specially designed with a system that reduces the tarnish to always provide the clearest images possible.
Why a collection of sunglasses and not, for example, as in most cases, sneakers? Easy because they are the same ones that Preston wore every day when, 8 years ago, he worked for Nike. The same designer unveiled it in a long post on his Instagram account:
“I wanted to discover more of what the brand had to offer beyond footwear. One of those products I discovered and fell in love with were the Nike tailwind performance glasses. I wore them nearly everyday. They had interchangeable lenses with different colors and felt so innovative to me. This is why I decided that my first collaboration with Nike wasn’t going to be a sneaker or apparel, but an accessory…”
Along with the announcement of the release, Preston declared his love and esteem for "the philosophy, dedication to innovation and focus on the athlete" demonstrated by Nike in the period in which he worked there.
