Gucci collaborates with Comme des Garçons
Two fashion legends unexpectedly together for a shopper that's already iconic
November 23rd, 2018
The fashion world lives on collaborations, but the one announced today left us (positively) surprised. The most baroque, extravagant (and sold) Italian house meets the brand synonymous with streetwear and avantguard.
Gucci and Comme des Garçons together, yes, you read that correctly. The fashion house under the guidance of Alessandro Michele taps the mysterious Rei Kawakubo to experiment and venture into unexplored territories. The two fashion giants have created a paper shopper covered in PVC, with the CDG logo and the iconic Gucci vertical green-red-green Web. The made in Japan item is set to become this season's must-have, as well as an iconic piece for the years to come.
The shopper will be released today, November 23, exclusively in Japan at Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market Ginza, and worldwide December 6.
