New Versace Chain Reactions coming
We were at the Milan release event to get the scope
Last night in Milan, Versace held a special event to show off their new Chain Reaction sneaker reiterations. The rammed out event was held in the impressive Versace flagship store on Via Monte Napoleone. Especially for the occasion the New York DJ duo Angel and Dren had been flown in and kept the party bumping. The stars of the evening were the new Chain Reaction sneakers, the distinctive design created by Salehe Bembury has in many ways put Versace on the streetwear map and provided an example for how a luxury fashion brand should be approaching a sneaker release. The Chain Reaction has always been wild, both in design and choice of colors, and only made wilder by details like different textile textures and animal prints. Last night saw some more subtle colorways that in many ways also have a wider appeal. The all black and also black and white editions are super clean and look great. There was also a new pink edition and the DJ duo was wearing what we assume are samples, with a special all white with pink detailing and another all blue edition. But what would Versace be without the extravagant, and the evenings wild card went to a new red, blue, and yellow with baroque detailing version, that's pretty next level.
