The new Burton x Carhartt WIP collection
Gorpcore made by two pros
October 18th, 2018
Not long ago we reported on the gorpcore trend, the outdoor and tech clothing that has suddenly become super cool, to be worn not on the ski slopes, but around the streets of the city. What we're about to present you is a collection that takes gorpocore to the next level.
We're talking about the capsule created by Carhartt WIP in collaboration with Burton. The two American brands have joined forces for the third time, after the previous collections of 2008 and 2011. The outcome is the perfect mix of the now classic and iconic Carhartt WIP designs and silhouettes and the technical performance fabrics and expertise that made Burton one of the top brands in the outdoor sector. Carhartt WIP's work-wear inspired pieces have been translated into perfect outdoor-performance items.
The collection features ten items, including the coverall created in a waterproof DRYRIDE 2-Layer Cordura® Fabric, or the jacket fabricated in a 3-Layer Twill Fabric with an 18 Denier Tricot Scrim Shell for added warmth. There's also an accessories line, like co-branded mitts, a wool and cashmere beanie, a waterproof backpack and a duffel bag in a robust Cordura® fabric.
