The winters must haves by Ralph Lauren
Here is the lookbook for the "Downhill Skier" capsule
October 10th, 2018
There is winter holidays air at Ralph Lauren. After exploring the world of the America's Cup with the CP-93 limited edition selection of items, the US brand returns with a capsule collection united by the same vintage mood, but, this time, inspired by the mountain world. Downhill Skier, in fact, is inspired by 50 years of label history, an archive full of successful iconic pieces, to rework the clothing of ski lovers in a unique way. So to make the heavy pullover tricot jerseys, trackpants, technical puffer jackets, berets with pom pom and other accessories, there are color blocking and nostalgic graphics from the '80s and' 90s, in particular the design of one skier engaged in descent that stands out everywhere and comes directly from the brand's heritage.
This is the real secret of this comeback of Ralph Lauren: mixing classic pieces with vintage patterns and new, technical materials. The release date of the winter capsule has not yet been announced, but, for the more impatient, we know that the limited edition "Downhill Skier" polo will be launched exclusively for the POLO app starting from 11 October. Take a look at the rest of the collection in the lookbook below and see how the new Ralph Lauren garments, with vibrant colors, stand out among the snowy peaks. Aren't they really cool?
