A brand we can not hide our admiration for is Prada, the Milanese brand is one of the true greats of fashion, and as we recently reported, they are looking at a strong year ahead with their reintroduction of the great Linea Rossa, which was Prada’s sports line, that has now been updated with the very latest within fabric technologies to bring a clean and futuristic line aimed at a more youthful demographic.
Tonight it was time to show off their latest women's collection at Milan's Fashion Week. Taking place within their impressive
Fondazione Prada institute, the collection started off with
shorts and
shirts in
vibrant shiny colors, in combination with almost
Romanesque sandal footwear. Then open busted tops, with what became a themed
cross slung strap made an appearance in combination with skirts. Next, a bit of a
school uniform theme followed, with knee-high socks and shiny belts. A new
chain linked pattern made its entrance, and then came the highlight in the form of the
jackets, followed by wild skirts, and tops in tie-dye with crystal embellishments and large insectoid sunglasses. The SS19 women show was a vibrant affair with the boundaries being slightly pushed for the brand, in conclusion, we can call it quite a divisive show which will be one you either feel or don't.
