The new PUMA sneakers are inspired by Polaroid
Pop culture clash
September 4th, 2018
Polaroid has chosen to celebrate its 80th anniversary with a collection of sneakers in collaboration with PUMA inspired by the design of the iconic OneStep, the first analog instant camera launched by the US multinational in the 40s. This is how RS-0 and RS-100 are born, reboot sneakers of the classic 80 Running System (RS) line of the sporswear brand.
Features? For the first: upper in fine white leather, micro-perforated details on the toebox and side-panel, 6 mm reflective flat laces, the iconic Polaroid Color Spectrum on the heel.
The second one, however, has an OG silhouette, faithful to the retro style, characterized by an upper in black leather with beige suede overlays and reflective details, completed by the iconic Polaroid rainbow on the tongue.
Both sneakers will be released accompanied by a custom box with a co-branded handtag inside that replaces the classic tag.
The Polaroid x PUMA collection will be available online, in the PUMAStores and major official retailers starting from September 8th.
