The "weirdness" of the latest Y/Project FW18 campaign

Y/Project presents the FW18 advertising campaign shot by Arnaud Lajeunie: a group of close friends and collaborators of designer Glenn Martens around Paris.

Two eccentric figures dressed in parrot and pineapple stand out, a reference to the work of the Swiss artist duo Fischli & Weiss, but also a joke among the members of the brand's crew, a sort of ironic mockery of the alleged passion of the stylist Ursina Gysi for the tropical fruit.

In short, a campaign of joy, fun and a touch of weirdness that surround the always interesting, playful and layered Y/Project leaders, including the collaboration with UGG.

"All images are a variation of one another images" - Martens explains illustrating his attempt to subvert the most classic fashion advertisements - "I constantly get inspired by the people around me. It just seems natural to reflect that by having them in our campaigns…I want people to be happy when they wear our pieces so our imagery needs to reflect that."
