Scrolling the Instagram feed it is impossible to ignore the sneakers' pics, images taken with care and reworked with filters in which that super exclusive model is shot as if it was a real advertising campaign. This social has now become a real showcase for its users and customizing a profile from an aesthetic point of view helps the account to stand out and to conquer more and more engaged and active followers. 

PLÜG Shop has played on this, mixing its business with taste, to become one of the most influential reselling IG profiles in Italy. The sneakers are the main passion of the team that has decided to undertake this activity to help who can not get that limited edition sold-out in 5 minutes. When the restricted production of a silhouette does not satisfy the high demand, the reselling comes into play, a lifeline for all sneaker-enthusiasts.

We asked the guys behind PLÜG, the first Italian resell website, to find out where it all started and what is the key to their success.

 

#1 What is PLÜG and who's behind it? 

PLÜG is the first Italian reselling website. We research and sell clothing lines and sneakers in limited editions. It was created in 2016 by a group of young men and within a few years it has become an important reality in the country. Behind all this there's a group of passionate creators who work together for the costant growth of the project. 
 

#2 You're especially followed on Instagram and your profile is very well done, both when it comes to the images and their quality, which doesn't always happen with reseller profiles. What do you think makes your project so special? 

Being very precise and detailed oriented has always been one of our perks. We've always tried to engage and create a following of people who are fascinated by this market and our philosophy. We're proud of our team, made of young people who believe in our projects and work hard to make them happen. Thanks to their support we are able to obtain that care and expertise that distinguish us.

#3 Tell us a bit about your experience at White Street Market. 

White Street Market was an important experience because it let us introduce ourselves to a wider audience, that maybe wasn't familiar with this industry, giving us the possibility to present ourselves, both by displaying our products and introducing a capsule collection made for the event. 

#4 What are your plans to spread your influence even more? Social, graphics, web are the right way or are you planning to create a real merch? 

Our main goal is to make our brand develop, increasing the collaborations with artists, magazines and influencers. Thanks for mentioning merchandise because it's an important element for us! We can't anticipate too much but we can say that we're creating proper collections which will drop soon on our website and social media platforms.
