How did Jonah Hill become a streetstyle icon
The love for Palace Skateboards is real
July 4th, 2018
High school reunions were invented to show to all those school mates who used to make fun of you how much you've improved after the end of school: the then loser, overweight student arrives with a ripped body and a great style, blowing everyone's mind.
This could be Jonah Hill's story. Lead actor in both comedies - like 21 Jump Street - and more serious movies (like The Wolf of Wall Street and Moneyball, nominated for an Academy Award in both cases), Hill is also a well-known author and screenwriter. In the last few years his dramatic weight loss was parallel to his rise as a style icon: after moving his first steps in the streetstyle scene, Jonah is now considered one of the best dressed men in the industry, testimonial for Palace Skateboards and with dozens of Instagram pages dedicated to his style.
The American actor is particularly fond of Palace Skateboards. While hosting the popoular show SNL in 2016, he wore a black long sleeve with the classic brand triangle logo, making clear streetstyle is a serious business. The move from fan to ambassador was just a matter of time: just a few months later Hill, in an hilarious clip (virtually shot in the London store of the brand) introduces the new Palace collection in collaboration with Reebok. The following year he's once again recruited by Blondey McCoy's crew to announce the opening of a Palace Skateboards store in New York City.
Jonah Hill went from being a chubby and a bit lame Mr Nobody to a well-respected actor and style icon, proving there's hope for everybody.
