Since we found out in May that Matthew M Williams of ALYX had teamed up with Nike to produce a performance gear collection for the sportswear giant, which was aided in its design by computational data regarding motion, heat, and sweat zones. We’ve had little bits of details and pictures trickle in via, firstly Nick Knights spectacular image series for the line, and then at the 1017 Alyx 9SM PFW show last week we saw some of the acid washed t-shirts and our first proper look at, at least one, of the sneakers made for the collaboration.
With their futuristic hiking boot meets martial arts inspired silhouettes, that are sure to gather a fair amount of both love and hate, we've actually seen very little from the rest of the line, until now. Though not the full collection we’ve gotten our first proper images of a few of the pieces, the
training jacket, the double logo
socks, and
the shorts with their, very “light” version, of a
Williams designed buckle that has become one of his signatures for ALYX, and also now for the new
Kim Jones designed Dior collection, in which MMW made the closing mechanisms for the accessories. These first pics only arouse an appetite for more, as we're eagerly awaiting to see the whole collection.
Dropping July 12th, here's the first look at some of the pieces above, and stayed locked for the rest of the collection, as you know we’ll show them the second we can.
