First the always amazing Nick Knights series of photos made for the collab and featured in the latest issue of 32c, and now there's a promo video released for the MMW x Nike collab.
A collaboration between NOWNESS and directed by Thibaut Grevet.
The short film entitled ‘Captured Motion’ is shot in a quarry in Kiev and follows a male and female protagonist, going through the motions of expressive choreography whilst showcasing the versatility of the collection. Ballet meets breakdance, meets sports in an eerie dystopian setting.
The new collection is designed for both men and women, with some unisex pieces too. We get a slightly closer look at the tank tops, t-shirts leggings, and the many accessories that get Williams urban ninja reworking, the collection is set to drop July 12th and stay locked to nss for updates.
“The name is symbolic to the brand’s founder and creative director Matthew Williams in that it includes a numerical reference to William’s birth date and address abbreviation of the brand’s founding studio on Saint Mark’s Place in New York City. Staying true to ALYX’s synergistic vision, the brand worked in collaboration with London-based design studio OK-RM to explore how labels convey values, how unique identities are formed and how we can achieve longevity, thus creating 1017 ALYX 9SM.” States the ALYX press release.
The first runway presentation under this new moniker will take place at Paris Fashion Week on June 24 consisting of both a men's and women's collection.
