The enfant prodige of French fashion is coming back with an important novelty.

Simon Porte Jacquemus has announced, through his Instagram account, that he will present his first menswear collection on June 25th in the south of France, in a top secret location.

With a shot, the designer also unveils the first brand ambassador of the homme collections: the French rugby player Yoann Maestri, portrayed in a pair of white shorts with a dog, on the rocks that emerge from azure waters.

In speaking with WWD before his last show, he confided

“I see the Jacquemus man as I see the Jacquemus woman: it’s a sincere story…I didn’t do men’s until now because I didn’t feel the need to do men’s and I couldn’t imagine it…I fell in love and I started to imagine that the Jacquemus man exists. I did Jacquemus women’s for my mother, and while I’m not saying that the men’s collection will be all about my boyfriends, it will still always be a love story.”

To know how the Jacquemus style will adapt to men's fashion, it will be necessary to wait until June 25th, the date that will conclude the PFW which will take place in the French capital from June 19th to 24th. Still no certainty about the location of the event, but many bet on Marseille, the city where the designer has already paraded the spring-summer 2017 women's collection and which is very close:

"I grew up 40 minutes away from Marseilles, but I was obsessed with the place. I would take three buses to get there to go swimming. If you look at the sea there, you think you’re in Greece. It’s really special to me.” he said.
