The 3rd chapter of Converse x JW Anderson collab
The vintage ballet slipper inspired the creative minds
March 29th, 2018
Going deeper into the infinite imagination of one of the most acclaimed creative director of our time, Jonathan Anderson, Converse sets out to explore new worlds, ready to always revolutionize, but remaining unmistakably itself.
NEW_CLASSICS is the last chapter of the acclaimed collaboration Converse x JW Anderson (how to forget the success of GLITTER_GUTTER) that sees as a protagonist once again a shoe that manages to merge inside technology, novelty and classicism. It was the vintage ballet slipper that inspired creative minds, which, through careful processing, came back to life in two different Converse models: the Chuck 70 XX Hi and the Chuck 70 U-Throat.
The upper in open cotton mesh is breathable, light and comfortable and is proposed in black and pistachio green, with white details and matte leather elements that wrap around the shoe. Its lacing is reminiscent of the typical dance shoes, elegant but always current, a system that allows various style options.
