Milan Men’s Fashion Week FW18 - Moodboard

The inspirations directly from the catwalks

Milan Men’s Fashion Week FW18 - Moodboard The inspirations directly from the catwalks

Look to the past to see the future.

It's what they chose to do Prada and Versace with their FW18 collections.

Miuccia has chosen to rediscover the codes that have made of his brand a cult. Subversion, practicality and elegance are thus shaped through the use of black nylon and a mash up of prints that recall drawings from previous seasons.

Donatella continues, instead, his homage to the work of his brother Gianni. For a moment, it puts aside the controversy related to the American Crime Story: Assassination of Gianni Versace TV show, and focuses on fashion, on the heritage of the fashion house, and redefines the most iconic graphics such as those of the Canova series.

If these two legendary ladies of style rework their roots, other designers choose to simply give vent to their imagination, their desires. They are almost childish and playful those released by Sunnei who thinks back to the pages of Dr Seuss or Marni's books and its journeys from Everest to its bed.

Those brought to the catwalk by Palm Angels and Moschino that reveal a fetish side in the balance between the first season of American Horror Story, The Night Porter and Cruising with Al Pacino are darker.

And what else do they offer during this MFW? Cowboys, urban warriors, dandy, 80s mood students... take a look below and you'll find out.
