Gosha Rubchinskiy FW18: glacial post-Soviet sportswear
Including collaborations with adidas, Burberry, Levi's and Dr. Martens

While outside the temperature drops dramatically below zero, inside the Yeltsin Center Museum, Gosha Rubchinskiy warms the atmosphere by presenting its FW18 collection.
The Soviet designer remains true to the style that made him famous, made of oversized sweatshirts, sweatpants and other sports and military elements, flanked by tailored pieces.
The main influence? Skaters, post-Soviet nostalgia and, above all, the next soccer world championships that will be hosted by Russia, as evidenced by the garments created with adidas.
The one with the colossal sportswear is not the only important partnership to outline the collection.
The other collaborations are with Burberry, Levi's and Dr. Martens.
Together with the British fashion house the Soviet designer has realized13 pieces, from overcoats to botton up shirts, from trousers to bucket hats, in which he mixed the iconic plaid pattern with a street and sporty style.
For Levi's, instead, Gosha has reinterpreted the jeans 501 and the classic trucker jacket in denim that now acquires a raw look and indigo details on sleeves and pockets.
Finally, the partnership with Dr. Martens on the style of the Adrian Tassel Loafer, a shoe in white and designed to "bring a touch of fashion into a formal look", as Darren McKoy, Global Category Director, Footwear and Accessories of the British company.
The show closes with a series of looks created with materials created by the artist Eric Bulatov, including the tops with the words "Friend, Accidentally, Enemy".
