The next Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection will be set in Japan
At the Miho Museum in Kyoto
April 21st, 2017
Another spectacular location for Louis Vuitton who chooses the Miho Museum as a set of its next cruise collection.
On May 14, Nicolas Ghesquière will present his latest creations in this palace with the large glass-wrapped glass walls and nestled in a wood near the Japanese city of Kyoto, thus keeping the tradition of shows nestled in a powerful architectural setting as in the past few years The Niteròi Contemporary Art Museum.
“We’ve always made architecture a very integral part of our story - said Michael Burke, chairman and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton, adding - Japan is a destination that everybody thinks they know, but they all know Tokyo and Nicolas loves Japan, he’s very inspired by Japanese fabrics, by Japanese video games, by how they dress in Harajuku and Shibuya, the audacity of the fashion there and the architecture”.
