Created with the new Digital Light Synthesis innovative technology
April 7th, 2017
After, in December, the 3D Runner limited edition adidas has now unveiled Futurecraft 4D, the first high-performance sneaker.
The secret? The highly innovative midsole, produced by exploiting a new and innovative technology called Digital Light Synthesis, created by CARBON tech Silicon Valley, which creates objects through issued bright flashes within a receptacle, able to transform the resin from the state liquid to solid state. This new printing method not only will greatly speed up production and ensure a finished product much more durable and long lasting but will carry shoes with a finely tuned cushioning and support system.
"With Digital Light Synthesis, we venture beyond limitations of the past, unlocking a new era in design and manufacturing - explains the company sportswear - One driven by athlete data and agile manufacturing processes. By charting a new course for our industry, we can unleash our creativity- be transforming not just what we make, but how we make it".
The target set by adidas is to produce and sell up to 100,000 pairs of shoes Futurecraft 4D by 2018, while this month we will be giving away 300 pairs of friends and family.
What is Futurecraft 4D the future of the running shoes?
Maybe. Take a look at the new shoe, and think.
