The new short film for Kenzo SS17 is a tribute to the rave culture
80's original VHS footage by Nelson Sullivan and kaleidoscopic digital art
March 15th, 2017
As part of the launch of the SS17 collection of Kenzo, Traum Inc. has created a video and a series of images that explore the rave culture.
"There is a great deal of optimism in the context of rave culture - everything is focused on notions of unity, acceptance, love, respect and opportunities within the international community, inter-racial, non-binary intersex",
says the founder and creative director Thomas Traum.
"That's why we want to believe that this culture will continue to exist, grow and progress. And maybe became even more relevant in 2017".
The study of digital art London-based Traum Inc. has combined VHS footage shot by Nelson Sullivan in the 80s and 90s with fast and trippy effects full of high-focus colors and digital details. Trauma Inc. has also collaborated on several other projects including Kenzo I remained his website Kenzo - always at the launch of his SS17 collection.
The result? A kaleidoscope collage and suggestive that bombards the audience.
