Helmut Lang will collaborate with Hood By Air's designer
Shayne Oliver will take care of a special capsule collection due to release this September 2017

Big news on the horizon for Helmut Lang.
Rumors of last month about a possible involvement of Shayne Oliver, Hood By Air's fashion designer, in the New York-based brand are now confirmed. After being recruited as Helmut Lang's editor-in-residence by Andrew Rosen, brand's editor executive, Isabella Burley hired Shayne Oliver to create a special collection who will be revealed on September 2017. The collaboration will include women's and men's clothing, but also accessories. So, this is the first Burley's step to relaunch the brand, after she did a restyling of the brand website and she redefined its online presence, but we think other collaborations with other designers would be on the way for the future.
Moreover, rumors about a possibile Hood By Air's closing has been denied, since its show for last Paris Fashion Week was canceled. A brand's spokesman declared:
"Shayne is currently focusing his time on the special project with Helmut Lang.
As a result, HBA will be continued but is transitioning to accommodate this. We will be releasing more information soon".
