Designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1987 innovation of the Air Max made the invisible visible Air cushioning, consecrating the new design as a must-have. With the succession of changes and innovations, Nike fans have developed an admiration for design "golden era" affirmed in the late '90s and the' beginning of the 2000s, and - to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Air Max 1 - their dream of owning a pair can finally become reality with the return of the silhouette.
The team chose the Footwear Nike Air Max 1 "Urawa" in 2004 as the right model to inspire them: keeping in mind the original silhouette, several allusions to the Air Max 87 were inserted to define the details of the new Air Max 1.
