How are you living the quarantine? Fears and dreams?
I try my best to keep a daily routine and maintain some structure: wake up, work out, check my emails… After travelling for months, I am learning how to appreciate my home and enjoy a slower pace of life, using this time to do research and watch movies and series that I haven’t had the chance to see during the busy past few months.
The fears I have are all related to the present and this difficult and surreal time we are all living. I wonder how this virus is going to evolve and worry about how long we will have to hear of people not making it - which is utterly heartbreaking. Fears are also in this powerless wait, staying home to protect me and others, waiting for decisions to be made – where we don’t have much say- which will have a huge impact in the months and years to come.
I really hope that we’ll come out of this challenging and sombre situation much more empathic towards one other and with a newfound strength to change and challenge the status quo. We are already seeing fantastic examples of creativity been used in new ways - from fashion brands making hospital gowns to product designers making affordable ventilators. It won’t be easy, but I want to see the silver lining: times of crisis and constraints often bring out the best creativity in people, so I am convinced that we will emerge from this stronger, with a new focus and new optimism.
What is your soundtrack?
