How are you living the quarantine? Fears and dreams?
Being a pre-existing introvert during a quarantine can be challenging... Luckily, I’ve been keeping myself busy with my artistic practice - painting, printmaking, collaging, weaving - hiding in my studio more or less. I find in times of distress, and world crisis, it's an artist’s responsibility to create; take the piece “Guernica”, made famous by Pablo Picasso and its realization during the Spanish Civil War of 1937. This was simply the artist in response to their surroundings, but still, holds true the feelings, fears and dreams from the era that it encapsulates. It is my sincere hope that other artists and creatives have this same outlook, and realize the potential we have to create change. Whether that be through creation for entertainment or activism. I won’t lie and say that these uncertain times don’t bring up anxieties in myself, however, I find art to be the only consistent thing in my life anyway... so why not just MAKE, DO, CREATE and worry about the rest as it happens.
What is your soundtrack?
