How are you living the quarantine: fears and dreams?
Quarantine makes me completely slow down - literally - and taking care of myself: I do 1 hour of the gym every day, I read and I watch documentaries but I also think a lot of the “fashion system of today”, like the way it becomes in 2020 with fashion weeks every week for 6 months, fast fashion empires, and specifically what’s behind all of this as the process of production in poor Countries (in India, In China In Vietnam etc )... But with the Virus from China to Europe now it shows its limits and especially in the world of influencers/CEO’s etc. are not at all our heroes or they are now trying to act insignificantly like LVMH making masks or gel…
I have been living and working in Paris for 10 years (2007 to 2017). Being locked for 15 days now in Taipei makes me really think of acting for a better world, like maybe creating the first Urban Farming on the roofs of Taiwan or - if I stay in Fashion - to create the A trade show for up-cycling and vintage in Asia.
My family lives in Corsica (Porto Vecchio) and of course my biggest fear it’s now not being able to visit them as all flights, airports are completely shut down. I keep telling myself that something could happen to them.
What is your soundtrack?
Right now I start my morning with a track of Snoh Aalegra: Nothing burns the cold, or some Frank Ocean's In my room. Around 2 pm I get through all the album After Hours by The Weeknd and then by the time of aperitivo some cool French rap like Grand Garcon by Marty De Lutece or La vague from Phases Cachées. I end up the day with an album by Nekfeu, for example. But I also caught myself last night to play some Italian classics like Ancora tu by Lucio Battisti or Sempre sempre by Albano & Romina Power.
