How are you living the quarantine? Fears and dreams?
This is week 3 for me and I finally feel like I’m easing into the situation. The first week I was restless. I couldn’t sit down, I was constantly cleaning my apartment or working. The second week was the busiest week work-wise for me so far this year (lots of deadlines). This week I finally started to adapt. What helped is to go back to have a routine. I work from 9-5 and go for a walk in between (we’re still allowed to be outside in the Netherlands as long as we keep a 1.5 meters distance). Then I cook and in the evenings I paint or sculpt or watch a series. In the weekends I sleep in and take it slow. A lot of relatives work as nurses/doctors and my biggest fear is one of them getting infected. I notice I daydream a lot about swimming in the sea and laying on the beach. I truly hope this will be over soon and we can go back to normal life. Because the longer this lasts, the more victims… I worry about the economy too.
What is your soundtrack?
Sufjan Stevens - Visions of Gideon (a ‘Call my by your name’ soundtrack).
