Schools have been among the first institutions to adapt to the new measures of quarantine. How did your school react to the state of emergency? In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of online classes?
Surprisingly, the pros are that I finally managed to organize my day better, I arrive on time for classes and we are lucky enough to be able to record the lessons and review them. The cons are that I left my sewing machine in Mestre, in the house where I used to live, and I'll have to wait a bit longer to pick it up. But I'm finding alternative methods.
The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the state of quarantine and social distancing. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what do you think the worst consequences of this crisis will be?
Assuming this pandemic goes on for a really long time, I think a real danger is that we will have a population of social zombies, losing contact with reality, who without anything to lose could be open to all kinds of things.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
I have made a list of movies to watch, online archives and online sites to browse, as well as the fact that I continue to do reviews with our professors who are trying to stimulate us in many ways.
