Schools have been among the first institutions to adapt to the new measures of quarantine. What are the pros and cons of online classes?
I think that my university was very effective in activating as soon as possibile the possibility of online classes and giving us students the best solution they could. I think that online courses make us loose much less time, I'm thinking for example about the hours spent traveling to go to school, so they can ease us in the production of our projects. As a con, though, we are missing the human exchange with professors, and I think that this is the part that inspires us the most in giving our best efforts and passion at school.
The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the COVID-19 emergency. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what will be the worst consequences of this crisis?
After this crisis, I think that fashion and design industries will be very afflicted, and that will lead to faster work and production rhythms. We will need to take back the time we have lost, and my generation will have less time to learn once we will be hired by a company: they will need professionals, so we will need to put much more effort.
Your work is built on creativity. Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
In this particular moment, it is vital more than ever to express our creativity. I think that we need to think positive, although we are all going to sink and loose our ideas. I think that Internet and social medias, if used correctly, can be a huge source for inspiration; to not mention books, magazines, movies, and most of all our own imagination. In this time it is capital to go with our minds beyond everything we do, discovering new facets of our thinking that we didn't know we have.
