The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the COVID-19 emergency. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what will be the worst consequences of this crisis?
Fashion system is a cycle. When stores are closed, it means that they are going to loose incomes and that they will not be able to pay back all the industries involved in the production of the next Spring/Summer 2021 collections. The situation is critical. We will see a complete slow down of every passage, starting from summer sales that will be postponed to August. Many stores and companies will be forced to close for good.
Your work is built on creativity. Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
Creativity is my daily bread. Personally, I need to be always stimulated and now it has become very hard. Imagination helps me a lot. It happens that I am intrigued by an object, a place or by some graffitis: they are totally random, but they makes me feel the need to express myself. I am talking, for example, of the sunsets that I see from my window.
