Schools have been among the first institutions to adapt to the new measures of quarantine. How did your school react to the state of emergency? In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of online classes?

One of the pros is certainly a more comfortable use of classes and time, which gives us the opportunity to explore and develop our creative approach to the digital world in the best possible way. Among the many cons instead, the lack of the kind of concentration and attention that you find during the lessons in the classroom. Another downside is certainly the collection's search process. Our University has one of the most well-stocked libraries in Europe dedicated to the Fashion/Architecture area, it was a shame we couldn't use it.

The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the state of quarantine and social distancing. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what do you think the worst consequences of this crisis will be?

Among the many crisis scenarios that are arising, the reorganization of work will certainly create further delays on deliveries and production, causing additional costs that will aggravate even more the economic condition of the company. Smartworking has certainly ensured that the various companies do not get stuck completely. However, as we know, the approach to the digital world and the real world are two different things and require different timing, especially if the work of one requires involvement in the other.

Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?

My solution right now (as in all moments of creation) is to refuge in my imaginary world. The more you think about it in time, the clearer and more defined it becomes. For me it comes from a completely inexistent reality, which gives me the possibility to create and range the way I want.
