Schools have been among the first institutions to adapt to the new measures of quarantine. How did your school react to the state of emergency? In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of online classes?
Fortunately, my institute immediately set up to give us the opportunity to continue our studies from home, also providing us with the material. The only flaw that this situation has is the lack of interaction with the teachers who, at least in our course of study, is very important for teaching. The positive side is that you can pay more attention to the lesson as you have a more frontal lesson. Furthermore, not wasting time on the move, we have more time to devote, perhaps, to studying.
The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the state of quarantine and social distancing. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what do you think the worst consequences of this crisis will be?
I think the worst consequences will have for small companies that won't be able to get through this moment because they don't have the resources and the help they need. Even craftsmanship will have great damage, in my opinion, because it is one of the most delicate sectors and those who do not have online sales will find it difficult to overcome this crisis.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
To continue being creative I don't think there is an equal solution for everyone, I think everyone should find what they like and cultivate it, even while reading a book or while watching a movie, something could trigger in us. In this quarantine, my creative ideas arise from observing what surrounds me that I was not paying attention to before, such as the plants that I have at home or watching my mother knitting. Other times they arise simply by being on social networks or doing research on the internet.
