Schools have been among the first institutions to adapt to the new measures of quarantine. What are the pros and cons of online classes?
At the beginning our school had some difficulties to adapt to the situation but it’s understandable due the fact that our faculty isn’t easy to teach online. In my opinion, there are more cons than pros of having online classes. There is a total absence of connection with the professor and the classmates, something really important for me. Also, some courses, for example Modeling, are impossible to teach and learn online. The only pro is not wasting my time driving in the daily traffic of Rome.
The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the COVID-19 emergency. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what will be the worst consequences of this crisis?
I think this crisis will bring lots of discomfort. For the next few months, people will avoid spending money restructuring houses or buying expensive items. They’ll start saving money for more important occasions or real needs. In my opinion, Fashion industries will be less afflicted than Design due to the fact that clothes are a bigger need at the moment.
Your work is built on creativity. Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
Where do you find your inspiration in this moment? During this period I did my best to keep up through Instagram and Pinterest, I always find lots of inspirations and new ideas. In my spare time, I also finally had the chance to develop some interests and ideas I had for a while.
