Schools have been among the first institutions to adapt to the new measures of quarantine. What are the pros and cons of online classes?
My school had to make some important adjustments: the way we take our classes has quite changed, mostly because I study photography and we need many physical spaces to see the results of our work. I have to admit, though, that the response was quick: they took some hard decisions, but it was necessary. Now I have more time to dedicate to myself and my personal research, as I don't have to move; the only thing I am missing is the confrontation with my colleagues and teachers. From my personal point of view, the screen of the computer is a little confining.
The Fashion and Design Industries have been aggressively afflicted by the COVID-19 emergency. As a consumer, but also as a future insider of those systems, what will be the worst consequences of this crisis?
Honestly, I think that the biggest problem is to keep every establishment running: we need to bet on web advertising and online shopping. Maybe any kind of experiment will have to pay a high price at first, but I think it is inevitable.
Your work is built on creativity. Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
Speaking for myself, I never thought of this quarantine as something really bad, but since it started I tried to take it as a chance to come out from my comfort zone and put myself to test.
