How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
It has surprisingly brought a good change in my everyday life, I have a proper routine now. I am able to exercise and maintain a good diet by consuming my meals on time and having a LOT of fresh tropical fruits, to increase my immunity. To have a constructive day, I work out, work on my school projects, connect with old and try to make different recipes from all over the world.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
I come from a military family so adapting to any situation is somewhat in our bloods. Although it becomes difficult to get my creative juices running sometimes, I try to take a break away from social media and cook a new dish and then get back to work afresh. Since I’m home at the moment, to get new inspirations I revisit old memories by going through all my souvenirs, photos, etc that I’d collected from various countries including my own.
What is your biggest fear right now?
That even after such a terrible pandemic, we, humans, will go back to the old ways and won’t improve. Also, in terms of fashion, many might still continue to buy fast fashion instead of supporting the artisans and local creators.
What will you do once all of this is over?
I’m going to personally try to bring a positive change in people’s thought process towards buying quality products from artisans rather than buying artificial or cheap quality products from fast fashion stores.
