How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
My life hasn't changed much in this time of quarantine. I keep following online classes on the mornings. On the afternoon I study, draw and sew, depending on the project I'm working on. Quarantine, though, also gave me time to focus on myself and on my personal growth: I find everyday some time to workout and I do some yoga every night before I go to sleep. This moment gave me the opportunity to think about my plans for the future.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
I can't deny that staying at home affected my creativity, but it also gave me the chance to look for inspiration in my past, where I would have never searched for some clues. I read a lot, I've gone through many emotions: I found inspiration from the stories and the experiences on the pages. Finally, I had some clues going through different musical genres and trying to listening something new, then from movies and documentaries.
What is your biggest fear right now?
My biggest fear is that I will not be able to hug my friends and family for many months. Professionally speaking, I fear that the consumer's need will change or even decrease, affecting the fashion industry, so I'm clearly worried for my future as a fashion professional.
What will you do once all of this is over?
I can't think of a post-Coronavirus future. We're facing the unknown and I can't think straight at the consequences. Our society is living a trauma: this time could be anything but a new starting point to change. I still don't know if it is going to be for the better or for the worst, but I know that this break was necessary and that it will help all humankind evolving and adapting one more time.
